MEANING MAKING PROCESS BY HAIRDRESSERS ON A BRASILIAN NORTEAST CAPITAL

This research objective is to investigate the meaning making process constructed by hairdressers on a brazillian northeast capital, and also make a characterization of this people activities. 272 hairdressers participated of this research. They answered a social and professional questionary and the instrument about the realized work. The data was analyzed trough an analyze descriptive, fatorial and correlation between averages of the variables. Results indicates that for this public, the work results dimensions, the autonomy perception and their control on their work are constituents for the meaning they attribute to their work. Beesides that, the relation of the found factors and the social demografic datas shows another results about the signification process. The research contributes to the studies about work meanings and significations, in a cultural-historical perspective, as well as the comprehension of not formal activities, like hairdressers people, in the Psycology of the Work.
