SUMMARY:

Studies on social movements have come a long way since Charles Tilly formulated the concept of action repertoire. Although his contribution, along with Sidney Tarrow, has clarified a lot about the relationship that the movements had with the State, this concept is not enough to include the new existing routines between these two actors. Previously understood as a relationship of opposition and conflict only, social movements came to have a number of other ways, institutionalized or not, to dialogue with the public authorities, which consequently contributed to the formulation of various public policies. With this in mind, this dissertation intends to to analyze the relationship between the State Government of Rio Grande do Norte and the local feminist movement, using the concept of interaction repertoires and research that has been developed by authors such as Lisandra Serafim, Luciana Tatagiba and Rebeca Abers. Using narrative analysis methodology, I intend to find out if the state government has managed to implement shared management with the feminist movement and the extent to which it was able to influence the formation of the gender public policies, a terrain still little explored in previous governments and, that at national level, is in advanced disassembly.
