FROM ROLE TO PRACTICE: A STUDY ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SOCIAL WORK PROGRAM "MY HOUSE, MY LIFE" IN THE REGION NATAL METROPOLITAN
Implementation, Social Service, Affordable Housing, and the My Home, My Life Program.
The objective of this research study is to analyze the introduction of social services as part of the My Home, My Life Program (“PMCMV”) in Zone 1 of the Natal Metropolitan Area. This study is based on the accumulation of analytical literature exploring public policy [to date], particularly concerning implementation, which, as a stage [in the process], has proven itself to be a crucial moment for the achievement of effective results in public policy. Methodologically, the study centers on qualitative research, founded on the dialectical-critical method, which highlights the opinions of the social workers and managers responsible for introducing a social service as part of the PMCMV’s projects, as well as [the opinions] of its beneficiaries. Apart from a review of the literature, this study also employs other methodological strategies, such as document analysis, primary and secondary data analysis, semi-structured interviews, and questionnaires, as it aims to contribute to knowledge production within the field of housing policy and pinpoint the limits and capabilities discovered regarding the introduction of PMCMV social services in the Natal Metropolitan Area.
