The Impact of Programa Minha Casa Minha Vida in the Social Mobility: analise of the beneficiaries in Ceará-Mirim (RN)

The Minha Casa, Minha Vida is a program created by the federal government, which aims to reduce the housing deficit in Brazil, providing the population of the different levels of income, the possibility of home ownership. This study aims to determine the impact of the Minha Casa Minha Vida within the reality of the Metropolitan Region of Natal (NRM) in order to find the real effect of national public policy, social mobility of its beneficiaries. To this end, the study aims to analyze the developments of Minha Casa, Minha Vida, located in NRM in order to see if the housing program produced upward effects or descendants, as regards the issue of social mobility. It is important to point out that this study will evaluate the experience of a group of individuals included in the program and try to establish then a parallel with the existing literature on the program, in order to compare perspectives and then produce an unbiased analysis of this object of study. The work will bring a sociological approach to social mobility, highlighting the cases that are experiencing descent or descent experiences regarding the change of social stratification among the beneficiaries of the program.
