RESUMO:

In the early 1930s, the world economy has undergone a major transformation, especially in the automotive industries starring Henry Ford and Taylor. Period of favorable economic growth scenario, the Fordist system gains its apogee with the inclusion of the production line in series. An organization of the work that went beyond the factory floor by inserting a new way of life for workers in their social relations of the day-to-day. However, from the 70s, the Fordist system not witnessed the high growth rates experienced in the post-war and becomes unsustainable for the new world dynamics, in which the rigidity of this model becomes a problem for the capitalist system which sought at that time a more flexible mode of accumulation with a more liberal regulatory character. This study aims to a discussion of theories aimed at understanding the impact of Fiat in Goiana-PE, seeking such, dialogue attempts and construction of a problem of approach in order to think from the accumulation system changes and work organization to the impact of the plant in the dynamic socio-spatial (x Fordist Post-Fordist). It is worth questioning: the Fiat factory was in fact representing improvements in the conditions of life and work of goianenses residents? Therefore, the objective of this research is to analyze the impact of the construction and implementation of the Fiat factory in Goiana-PE municipality. More specifically, this job search: i) Understanding changes in the automotive industry in the organization of work and space, in the passage from Fordism to Toyotism; ii) Identify the impacts of the installation and operation of Fiat in Betim (1973) compared to the Goiana plant (2015) in order to understand the transformations of the Brazilian automobile industry; iii) analyze labor relations in the region from the representations of social actors (managers and workers) involved. In order to meet the objectives proposed in this work, this research use the qualitative method of analysis, through in-depth interviews. Choosing this method will check the daily reality of the residents, in order that they can report some of their social experiences of their life history and recent changes in the city
