SUMMARY:

In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the number of digital influencers and the viewership of online videos, as well as a growing demand for financial guidance on social media platforms. This research aims to investigate the relationship between finance content in the digital environment, the promotion of financial education culture by digital influencers on media platforms, and the application of international and national guidelines on financial literacy in online videos. The empirical object chosen is the “Me Poupe!” channel on YouTube, and the study focuses on online videos published between 2015 and 2022. This is an empirical research with an applied nature, with an exploratory and descriptive purpose, using a qualitative approach and employing content analysis techniques. Manuel Castells' ideas on network society and communication are used to elucidate modes of interaction and learning in the contemporary world. The study assumes that digital influencers and YouTube channels focused on finance, such as "Me Poupe!" that capture audience attention and engage followers, foster a culture of financial education on social media through the production of audiovisual content guided by international guidelines. It understands that online videos disseminating financial messages are adapted to the demands and expectations of the audience and the financial market and can contribute to improving the material reality of followers, legitimize financialization, and further integrate social media users into the logic of the current economic system.
