SUMMARY:

Convergence culture is characterized by complementary distribution to different media, with exploration of participation tools and the use and appropriation of decentralized production dynamics, sustained by the phenomena of collective intelligence. Webseries are an example of a media format that fits this culture, as they are serialized audiovisual narratives that circulate in the web or application environments and allow viewers to interact with the content offered, and can be produced with an independent budget or not. In this context, Septo (2016-2020) appears, the first webseries produced in northeastern Brazil, and with locations in Natal (RN). Distributed in three seasons, totaling 17 episodes, the internationally awarded web series has as its main plot an LGBTQIAP+ novel, lived by two women, inserting representativeness as a theme in fictional productions. From this, the main objective of this research is to identify how the Septo webseries explores the representation of LGBTQIAP+ characters and the local culture. For this, the research methodologically uses a case study centered on a sample of the six most viewed episodes on the YouTube channel and the analysis of the 570 comments made by followers in the first and last episodes.
