Electronic sports, also known as e-sports, use the competitive structure of video games to promote professional championships and distribute million-dollar prizes. Considering that several Brazilian journalistic vehicles produce content about these competitions and use social media to keep the e-sports community informed, the proposal of the dissertation is to analyze the coverage of the Free Fire World Series 2019 championship by Mais Esports. Taking concepts such as "Principles of Transmediation" (GAMBARATO, 2013) and "Transmedia Journalism" (PORTO-RENÓ, RENÓ, 2013) to the context of journalism specializing in electronic sports, the research investigates "transmediation strategies" (FECHINE, 2013 ) used in publications made from 11/01/2019 to 11/30/2019; on the vehicle's website, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube. Preliminary results suggest that this transmedia e-sports journalism not only contributed to the production and dissemination of information about the Free Fire world championships, but helped to enrich the experience behind the competitive event as a whole.
