SUMMARY:

This research proposes to understand if the configuration of transmedia narrative in sports radio journalism in the coverage of CONMEBOL 2019 can alter the social practices of radio production, using the coverage of CONMEBOL 2019 by Rádio Globo as the object of analysis. The objective is to analyze, based on the use of transmedia storytelling in content production and transmedia strategies, whether public participation instigated by the radio from the transmedia narrative is an alternative way to face the decrease in people in stadiums. For that, we used concepts such as transmedia narrative (JENKINS, 2009), sports journalism (MALULY, 2017; PENA, 2012), sports mega-events and spectacularization (BORDIEU, 1997; CAMPOS, 2012; MORIN, 2002; DEBORD, 2003). As a methodology, we used a conceptual chart elaborated based on the transmediation strategies (ARNAUT ET AL, 2011; PORTORENÓ and VIVAR, 2012; GAMBARATO, 2013; FECHINE ET AL, 2013; FECHINE, 2016) in order to know how many and which transmedia strategies were used in this coverage. Linked to this, we will carry out a non-participant observation and bibliographic research with literature review. To show that social networks have become instruments for the production and dissemination of content.
