SUMMARY:

Through the study of the meme “Bela, Recatada e do Lar”, with an analysis of Tumblr images- www.belarecatadaedolar.tumblr.com, created in response to the Revista Veja magazine of August 2016, which addressed the life and intimacy of Marcela Temer, the first lady at the time, the main objective of this work is to understand and analyze new practices, within the mediatized society, that make use of the internet meme, an informal artifact with predominantly irreverent and risible characteristics, as a tool of feminist discourse. It seeks to analyze the gender identity struggle of women of the fourth feminist wave who use the internet, the image, the political body through the memes to bring up a counter-hegemonic discourse, in relation to the publication of the Magazine, with notes and relevant struggles of the movement, such as the role of women in the public x private sphere, femininity, motherhood, among others.
