RESUMO:

Within the whole technological apparatus used in postmodern communication and current
easiness in content production and consumption within cyberspace, especially in
social networks, it is still possible to verify that certain subjects can not have the
same media visibility as others. This is the case of the black women youtubers, who
even appropriating the digital space to build a network of conversations and emancipation for
other black women, still fall short when we stop to reach and engagement. Discussing under the bias of intersectional feminism and female empowerment, the present research proposes, through a descriptive study, to observe and identify women who have these themes as one of the central identify and compare the reach and visibility of black youtubers and their contents in relation to non-black youtubers and their productions. The objective, therefore, is to expose the problem of media invisibility and to discuss the modes of racism in contemporary times.
