SUMMARY

 

 Mobile interaction devices and connections established and sustained by them are considerable elements when dealing with changes in visibility and in their schemes (BRUNO, 2013). Certainly, access to these connected devices, along with the capacity to produce and share symbolic contents, are essential for the emergence of the society of self-promotion (THOMPSON, 2008) that we experience today, in which self- become frequent, generating a profusion of images that invade the screen tools almost uninterruptedly. Among the various modalities of self representation on the internet, we highlight in this dissertation the practice of risk selfie. Through bibliographic research and with the aid of virtual ethnography, we will seek clarifications that touch the question: what implications are generated in the process of subjectivity and sociability formation from the practice of risk selfie? Based on this questioning, the research aims to understand how subjectivities are associated with visibility devices, as well as, what reconfigurations the practice of self-risk can lead to the development of contemporary sociabilities.
