RESUMO:

The study in this research is committed to the deeper understanding of communication developed in an international, social, where the Red Cross - Branch Rio Grande do Norte, located in the state capital, Natal. This search, provide a perception in the first time, humanitarian feeling of care, offer help and support to those in need, by pure act of love of neighbor, or also as a way to stay alive in the human species on the planet, as the treaty concept by Leonardo Boff. It was possible to go through the history of this Organization, currently considered the world's largest humanitarian institution, with millions of engaged volunteers, and millions of others assisted in many ways needs. With this guide, we analyzed the institutional digital media maintained by the Branch RN, and the Web site and Facebook Page (Fan Page), identifying the characteristics and practices of communication routine. The visits not only the RN Branch, as well as the Brazilian Red Cross, in Rio de Janeiro and the headquarters of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent - IFRC in Geneva, Switzerland, provided a broader view on this paper.
