In the context of large media insertion, presence-whether an archive of data and a continuous rewriting from memory enabled, among others, by the development of Information and Communication Technologies. Far from dealing with a self-suspension of memory, we are dealing with a large volume of memories less stable. This work is based on the premise that cinema is a medium of communication of legitimising “frameworks” of memory. It serves on the “capital of memory” of man; creates and accommodates a “privileged class” of images and narratives of the cities in dialog with other images and narratives; and integrates, next to other media, the visual demonstrations of culture by which cities are conceived, experienced and remembered. This work investigates collective films of contemporary fiction as spaces dedicated to remembrance, engendering, circulation and silences of urban memories. Paris, Je T'aime (2006), New York, I Love You (2009) and Rio, Eu Te Amo (2014) form the empirical object of research. The hypothesis suggests that the franchise Cities of Love, which is responsible for the production of feature films analyzed, is the diffusing the idea of town beyond good and evil (SCHORSKE, 2000); and that the films rather than overwrite memories about cities, rewrite or reproduce memories already put to use imaging arrays and discursive already fat by the media in relation to the cities of Paris, New York and Rio de Janeiro. The theoretical discussion relied on dialog between memory, media and urban cinematography. Stand out in a condition of theoretical contribution, the written of Almeida (1999), Assmann, A. (2008, 2011), Assmann, J. (2008; 2011), Calvino (2013) Comolli (2008), Costa (2002; 2008a), Erll (2008a; 2008b; 2012), Huyssen (2000), Mongin (2009), Pollak (1992) and Schorske (2000). As for the methodological procedures, is predominantly approach in qualitative and it is use in conjunction of the content analysis of the type of themes and film, based on Aumont and Marie (2013) and Bardin (2011). The results confirm the hypothesis. It is concluded that the films belonging to the relief cinematic Cities of Love, at the same time that build cities index become fields of dispute of urban memories.
