HEALTH ASSESSMENT QUESTIONNAIRE (HAQ) FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH CHRONIC POST CHIKUNGUNYA ARTHRALGIA: CONSTRUCT VALIDATION
Chronic Pain, Validation Study, Chikungunya virus.
Introduction: The Health Assessment Questionnaire (HAQ) is an instrument that allows for the evaluation of the functional capacity of rheumatic patients in the chronic phase. It was developed mainly for the rheumatoid arthritis population but has been validated for other conditions. It has versions with cross-cultural adaptations, including in Brazil. However, for patients with chronic polyarthralgia resulting from Chikungunya fever, the questionnaire has not been validated. Objective: To evaluate the psychometric properties of the HAQ for the population with chronic polyarthralgia resulting from Chikungunya fever. Methods: To determine the construct validity, the Spearman correlation coefficient (rho) will be used to determine the magnitude of correlation between the HAQ and the Short Form Health Survey (SF-36) and the Visual Analog Scale of Pain (VAS). Expected results: The validation of the HAQ questionnaire construct will be a contributing factor for the evaluation of functional capacity and the conclusion of the therapeutic diagnosis of the population with chronic polyarthralgia resulting from Chikungunya fever in Brazil.
