Functional exercise associated with ETCC in patients with Fibromyalgia: A randomized controlled clinical study
ETCC, Fibromialgy, physical exercise
Fibromyalgia (FM) is a chronic disease with diffuse and generalized pain, besides presenting associated symptoms. Physical exercise is one of the best treatments for the improvement of FM changes in the musculoskeletal system. In addition, the search for improved pain is proposed in the ETCC, which is a non - pharmacological therapeutic method that improves the painful situation of FM through a modulation of cerebral cortex applied in the M1 area. METHODS: A randomized controlled trial in two intervention groups: ETCC and placebo ETCC, following the protocol of 5 consecutive days of cerebral modulation, where both performed the exercise program for 8 weeks. Anthropometric data collection, sociodemographic data, physical performance, application of specific questionnaires to FM and collection of the painful threshold with the algometer will be performed. Expected outcomes and impacts: The active CTSC group achieved improvement in pain complaints and physical performance compared to the placebo group.
