SUMMARY:

The present work aims to understand social inequalities in Luanda (Angola), with a specific focus on the dramas and sufferings experienced by young Angolans who live in a situation of social vulnerability. An attempt is made to map the average income of families in a situation of vulnerability in order to compare it with the average cost of living in society in general, bringing their situation of social precariousness as an agenda and adopting concepts about youth from a sociological perspective. Faced with these phenomena, the State has the power to create strategic policies to combat these social problems that have long led several families into situations of extreme poverty, even more so in Angola, which is an underdeveloped country with complex challenges that is slowly moving towards economic and social development as well as ideal public transparency and a more consolidated democracy. That said, it is essential to bring sociological themes to help us understand the developments, trajectories and perspectives of this area since they are directly linked to all of us citizens regardless of race, gender, religion or education. In order to reach our objectives and the problem of the research presented in the work, we will carry out the use of the qualitative method through both bibliographical, documentary and field research, as well as face-to-face interviews. In addition, the methodological approach will be based on the comprehensive method in order to analyze the subjective meanings of the lived experiences of young Angolans in a situation of social inequality.
