SUMMARY:

The World Health Organization (WHO), in presenting its report at the international level, asserts that every forty seconds a person loses their life in the event of suicide and, in this perspective, approximately 700,000 are victims every year. Those who resort to specialized literature to understand more about the phenomenon, in terms of sexuality and gender, when it comes to people belonging to the LGBTQIAP+ community, often find incipient discussions and inconsistent epidemiological data on suicidal behavior. Based on these problems, this research aimed to analyze associations between minorities and the presence of suicidal behavior from the influence of power devices that are manifested through dimensions of the social context. In the process of deepening this problem, the socioeconomic and socio-affective dimensions will be considered, in the crossings that constitute the social nature of the individual and collective experience among Lesbians, Gays, Transgenders, Transvestites, Transsexuals, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, Pansexual and other expressions of orientation sexual and/or gender part of the community (LGBTQIAP+) to the point of becoming influential in the presence of suicidal behavior. Therefore, the efforts of this research were specifically focused on identifying how the aforementioned dimensions subvert or denote biopower devices, subjectively influential in the production of heteronormativity and, consequently, in the occurrence of precipitating factors for suicidal behavior. In addition to understanding how these same dimensions equipped by cisnormativity, from the perspective of Viviane Vergueiro, have the precarious and excluding potential on the lives of transvestites and transsexuals, to the point of manifesting influential forms of necropolitics on deaths by suicide. As well as recognizing intersections between protective factors, prevention and postvention strategies, activated or not, when the public in question are people belonging to the LGBTQIAP+ community. For this purpose, the research method chosen was the qualitative model. This choice is due to the fact that the qualitative method allows the gathering of different theoretical frameworks, in the process of choosing sources and data collection, in addition to recognizing the importance of transdisciplinary concepts at the time of analysis. Considering the qualitative model, the strategies for data collection and analysis were based on the combination of document analysis and integrative review.
