SUMMARY:

The Covid-19 worldwide pandemic has changed our relationships in all fields of our lives, and forced us to take sanitary measures to reduce contamination, such as using a mask, distancing, isolation and moving from face-to-face work to digital media. The public education system was one of the most impacted sectors, teachers began to work via digital technologies, such as social networks and platforms that provide synchronous video classes. Many were not sufficiently prepared and had to add teaching work along these lines to other activities, increasing their tasks and the difficulties of dealing with this new scenario that varied with each directive taken by the federal and state governments. The professor, already dealing with precariousness due to the intensification of his workday due to sociopolitical reasons, but his condition in the coronavirus pandemic, became even more noticeable when all his activities, whether paid or not, were in the same home environment. Therefore, the workload and the obligation to have a high level of performance socially imposed on teachers, reflects in psychological suffering understood by social theories as categories of tiredness or illnesses that naturalize and incorporate the settings of the time. Seeking to bring the contribution of Social Sciences on the theme of psychological distress, the research will use semi-structured qualitative interviews, and has as interlocutors interviewed, teachers from three public high schools in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. Two, from the so-called Greater Natal region, one in the capital (Professor Edgar Barbosa State School, located in the south zone, Lagoa Nova district) and another in the city of São Gonçalo do Amarante (Professor Ivani Machado Pereira State School, Jardins district), and the last, in the interior of the State, located in the city of Bodó (Servulo Pereira de Araújo State School, downtown). The research will have theoretical support from Karl Marx, Ricardo Antunes, Pierre Dardot and Christian Laval, Christian Dunker, Paulo Amarante, among other authors.
