SUMMARY:

The food and nutrition education, that will be mentioned in this work as EAN, has as its implicit tenor the healthy eating, which is considered a general relevance topic of the brazilian population by the PNAB, acronym for Política Nacional de Atenção Básica. It is also one of the specific attributions of the NASF–AB initials for Núcleo Ampliado de Saúde da Família e Atenção Básica,  as a multi-professional team of the AB acronym for Atenção Básica or APS initials for Atenção Primária de saúde, seeing as they are considered equivalent terms. Considering this, there is relevance in knowing the values, the notions and the practices of the multi-professional team responsible for the implementation of the EAN and APS activities regarding this public health action. Particularly in the period in which Brasil, as many other countries and territories, was hit by the new virus of the coronavirus family, the SARS-CoV-2 that put into evidence the grave problems experienced by a significant portion of the brazilian population in regards of the SAN (acronym for equivalent terms Food and Nutrition Security) and of the Human Right to Adequate Food (DHAA initials of Direito Humano a Alimentação Adequada). However, by injunction of the federal government since January of 2020 it was initiated in the country the transition phase to a new style of financing of the APS through the Ordinance Ministerial Previne Brasil and the multi-professional team NASF-AB wasn’t contemplated in this new financing. To occupy the place of the NASF-AB it was presented a new type of multi-professional team with a new terminology, eAP initials for equipe de Atenção Primária, new guidelines and new means of operationalization geared towards quantitative indicatives in which, presented for the year of 2020, there is no EAN. And with that in mind we arrive at the goal of this work that is to analyze the symbolic meaning of the EAN by the multi-professional team from APS of the city of Arez in time of the transition from NASF-AB to eAP. Dialoguing with the social theory of Pierre Bourdieu, it is sought to identify and analyze in the discourse of the professionals who make up the team, what does EAN means as a public health action in APS and how is it assembled to the habitus of the team. The study’s design is from a qualitative nature employing in its methodology interview structured with open questions and utilizing the Discourse of the collective subject as instrument of analysis. The subjects of the research are the health professionals that make up the multi-professional team from the city of Arez. Regarding the collected data, assigned empiric treatment through the DSCsoft program, software authored by the researchers Fernando Lefevre and Ana Maria Lefevre. Part of the gathering of data was done before the first record of a person infected with COVID-19 in the region of the research, but was interrupted due to the rapid increase of people infected by the SARS-CoV-2. Thus, only at the ending of the gathering, systematization and treatment of the data the results will allow us to trace the final considerations.
