SUMMARY:

The research tracks social connections around the significant "Pentecostalism" through the mapping of controversies related to the classifications created and consolidated by the Sociology of New Pentecostalism in Brazil. In the search to understand contemporary modalities of Pentecostalism, the use of the theoretical and methodological apparatus of this sociology is faced with the history of development of Pentecostal formations, renitentes to the classificatory furor of thought strictly taxonomist. On the other hand, an alternative mode of thought is proposed inspired by the Deleuzian concept of rhizome, a model for construction an antitaxonomist perspective of Pentecostalism (antisociology). Disinterested in unrestricted classification activity, aiming at overcoming epistemological obstacles embedded in the hegemonic model of science and animated by the inventive character of the processes of development of Pentecostal formations, the proposal of an antisociology of Pentecostalism is another look at the concerns pertested by Pentecostal dissent and versatility. The unfolding of these issues has as its starting point the dialogue with actors in temples of churches genealogically Pentecostal, located in the Region of Cariri cearense, from which the problem emerged. The implementation of this experiment is based on the negative reflections of the Latourian introduction to the Sociology of Associations (Actor-Network Theory), whose principles compel the redefinition of the concepts of science and social, guide the reorganization of investigative procedures in research and give lucidity to the political aspect of the works produced under the title of social sciences.
