RESUMO:

This dissertation has as main objective to problematize characteristics of the manifest contemporary ethical crisis. In this research, we will analyze the British series Black Mirror, more specifically three of its twenty productions: the episodes “Nosedive”, “Hang the DJ” and “The Entire History of You”. The narrative developed in these episodes refer, respectively, to three aspects of the ethical crisis mentioned above: digital narcissism, the production of heterotopias in the profusion of data in the network, and the obsession for absolute vigilance. These episodes are part of the framework of liquid-modern dystopias and reflect current challenges posed by the strength of antropotécnica in the Information Age. Peter Sloterdijk, Zygmunt Bauman, Paula Siblia, Byung Chul-Han theories helped us in the reflexive work about the influences that the digital devices exert on the subjects of a world more and more overwhelmed by fear and besieged by offers that make personal relations rarefied.
