RESUMO:

This work aims to do an evaluation of the implementation process of the regularization policy on quilombola’s community’sterritory in Aroeira, localized in Pedro Avelino city (RN). In this research it will be found a literature review of public policies, quilombola comunities, and etc.In addition to it, a documental research, in order to analyse documents concerning to the regularization policy in the territory of quilombola’s community. Eventhough the legal basementis thePresidential Decree nº 4.887/2003,the regularization policy of the quilobola community finds its legal fundament in the article 68 of the secction “Constitutional Provisions Act” of the brazilianFederal Constitution. However, the process that is evaluated in this work has its beginning in the year of 2006 and its not yet finished. Therefore, the scientific contributions of this reasearch concerns only to the process of implementation and not to its final process. It is also made an analysis of the institution’s role and the political actor’s involvement, in addition to the analysis of the challenges and its advancement. Likewise, an analysis of the associatives practises of the community, in order to transform its political and social reality out of that regularization process.
