RESUMO:

This thesis is being elaborated from theoretical and methodological investigations on the theme of the political participation of young people in contemporary society. It is important to highlight that the forms of organization, mobilization and political action of young people have A considerable number of studies on the subject have been conducted. I would also point out that the new contemporary social movements, especially youth movements, from 2013 onwards, have assumed a certain social and political role in the demonstrations, marches and street protests of the country. In view of this, the general objective of the research is to analyze the processes of organization, formation and struggle of the young people who make up the social movement Levante Youth in the state of Pernambuco. The specific objectives are: a) to identify the sociability relations, collective experiences and the demands of the youth of Levante b) to understand how the processes of engagement and engagement are carried out, and participation of the young subjects that make up the movement; c) carry out a mapping of the actions and repertoires of collective action on the three fronts of the movement. Regarding the procedures methodological, a literature review is being conducted on the theme of participation of youth in contemporary social movements. In addition, the researcher has already the young people who are building the movement in the state, being participant observation work to the extent that the researcher has a training courses, collective organization processes, actions, actions and actions, and activities Here, too, I would like to point out that all these experiences have guided the construction of a field diary, material of great value to the research. Afterwards, the following will be carried out semi-structured interviews, in addition to focus groups with the young people who make up the Levante Popular da Juventude Pernambuco.
