RESUMO:

In the 21st century, the society of fatigue (HAN, 2015), of the net life (BAUMAN, 2009), of the performance subject (HAN, 2017) promotes a paradoxical happiness generated by excessive proactivity and hyperconsumption (LYPOVETSKY, 2007) to the rule of the disposable, too much material assets accumulate. As the feeling of being is emptied, it is necessary to have (ALMEIDA, 2012). It empties the meaning of life, the fragmented life, disoriented (BAUMAN, 2009; LYPOVETSKY, 2005; 2007). With the rupture of nature / culture, the man without respect to the cycles develops pictures of anxiety, depression and attention deficit disorders (ALMEIDA, 2012; CARVALHO, 2012; HAN, 2017). These are symptoms that alert us to the crisis created by globalization, capitalism and the excess of rationality. This emphasis, sustained by the patriarchal system and encouraged by the predominance of this culture, has brought about a profound imbalance in thoughts and feelings, values and attitudes, and social and political structures (CAPRA, 1985). In the West, it is not only science, economics and politics that are impregnated with the male-centered paradigm; society maintains the belief promulgated by Judeo-Christian religions that God has always been (and by implication will always be) masculine (CAMPBELL, 1997). In view of this context, it is necessary to ask: How can Wicca, a Goddess-centered religion, help us in the dialogue and confrontation of today's contemporary scenarios? More specifically, we ask: What practices, speeches and experiences of Wicca in Brazil are encouraged, identified and that make possible a response to the problems, to the current and ongoing paradigm crisis in these scenarios? Religion alone can not correct the deviations, dilemmas, and infirmities of society. The decisive thing is not the religions, but the spirituality that underlies them. She and not religion help to compose the alternatives of a new civilizing paradigm (BOFF, 2014). In this scenario, the present research aims to investigate Wicca spaces in Brazil, practices, speeches and experiences of Goddess-centered spirituality that guide and stimulate their practitioners in relation to the possibilities, ways and means to deal with the challenges of the days current. The field of research focuses on the Conferência Anual de Wicca & Espiritualidade da Deusa no Brasil,Encontro Anual de Bruxos (EAB), Bruxos Brasileiros em Brasília (BBB) and the Encontro para a Nova Consciência. In addition to interviews with representatives and practitioners of Wicca, Tradição Diânica do Brasil and Tradição Diânica Nemorensis, we review the bibliography produced by Wiccan authors and seek dialogue with theoretical contributions from authors of sociology, anthropology, history and philosophy. The initial reflections point out that there is in Wicca an optic of constructing other everyday subjectivities, creators of other ways of living, perhaps through regenerative ways, through the reformation of life, of being and return to cosmic sources (MORIN, 2005), of overcoming patriarchalism (BOFF, 2014), resistance to the current scenario, to reactivate animism and magic and alignment with Gaia (STENGERS, 2017).
