RESUMO:

The contemporary Brazilian public school is a challenging environment in the social contexts in which it is immersed. In order to think about the social places in which young people are situated, it is necessary to relate intimately with the cultural multiplicities and the formation of socially diverse groups. This plurality of compositions reveals school youths. This research brings reflections on the construction of restorative justice in the school environment regarding the participation and social organization of young people in public schools in the cities of Natal-RN and Fortaleza-CE in the period from 2017 to 2019. In this context, we start from the presupposing that punitive educational practices can no longer satisfy school reality, and it is necessary to exercise a view based on a differentiated lens of observation on the social relations established between the school actors - teachers, students, managerial nucleus and other professionals - because the rescue of networks of cooperation and solidarity favors the feeling of belonging to the school institution, as well as the construction of a culture of peace. The questions are guided by the following problematization: What are the strategies that give meaning to restorative justice in public schools? The objective is to analyze youth conflicts and flows in relation to the strategies of transformation and construction of the culture of peace from the social groups in which the school youths are inserted, such as student body, theater, sport, graphite and music. Our research hypothesis is that the restorative justice tools in the school offer and focus the autonomy of individuals, as well as favors listening, dialogue and youth participation. The research methodology is qualitative based on the day-to-day observation of schools, questionnaire application, semi-structured interviews and focus groups.
