RESUMO:

This research proposes to analyze the abidance of unpaid domestic work as an activity related to Brazilian women mostly, trying to answer the question: Are women aware of the work they perform when operating domestic work and care? The concepts of the sexual division of labor, productive and reproductive work and housework and care are the theoretical bases that support this study. Thus, we outline our research to think about the configurations of domestic work, based on the experience of 5 women in the city of João Pessoa, and the social relations that are established from this issue. Thus, we propose to investigate, from participant observation, life stories and application of semi-structured interviews, 5 (five) women in the city of João Pessoa, analyzing how they solve the issue of domestic work and care, from remuneration or not . Thus, the general objective of the research is to analyze how women operate domestic work and care and who they resort to or activate, in what I call, a priori, reproductive labor chains, constituted in João Pessoa-PB. And the specific objectives are: 1- Analyze the configuration of domestic work and care from the life of 5 women who lives in João Pessoa; 2- To verify which policies of sharing of domestic work and care have been carried out in Brazil 3- Analyze whether domestic work and care of women is an alienated work and how it is operationalized. In this way, we seek to understand the reasons that, throughout history, domestic work and care, even in the face of all the rights won by women, continue to be performed nowadays in most societies by women.
