RESUMO:

The purpose of this thesis is to write the history of the Grupo de Estudos da Complexidade - GRECOM. With 25 years of existence, GRECOM, as it is formally known, is a research base of the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), linked to the Departamento de Fundamentos e Políticas da Educação and Programas de Pós-graduação em Educação and Ciências Sociais. It is a group that transcends the physical space where it is located and that, experiment and learn with the most varied domains of knowledge. The researches developed in GRECOM are tuned to the construction of a non-reducing science that does not level, but allows the sensitive to operate in place of technical and linear coolness. Working from the perspective of the Relocation of Knowledge, GRECOM extrapolates the physical limits of UFRN throughout its history, becoming a dense experience of Complexity for Latin America, including in Brazil, the first point of the Cátedra Itinerante UNESCO Edgar Morin para o Pensamento Complexo. Therefore, I advocate the reconnection space thesis in which a regeneration and a necrosis of the researcher subject who knows the possibility of producing science with pleasure, sharing and passion, from the implication of the subject in the knowledge, inspiring the use of the Method As Strategy and making dialogue Scientific Culture, Humanistic Culture and the Knowledge of Tradition. In my thesis, I try to understand how GRECOM operates in the spectrum of poetry and self-organization. When using the Method as strategy in this thesis, I relate the fragment and the context, the local and the global. For that, I make use of ethnographic research practices such as observation, field diary records, interviews and participatory observation. As resources that collaborate with this record, I rely on academic productions, filming records and documents.
