RESUMO:

The imagination is part integral of the antropos (MORIN, 2012; 2011), connecting all existing pratics inside our society. Based on this assumption, the present work has the objective of understanding how the imagination acts in our sociocultural world, adopting the fictional novel O Meu Pé de Laranja Lima (1995) as the main element of this academic work. The romance tells the story about Zezé, a boy what, between many aspects, use his imagination during playtime and distinct ways to see the world, inspiring him and the others characters, in multiples and deep interpretations of his imaginary world. In this way, the literary work images present in this novel will be read by a poetic inspiration back to the childhood (BACHELARD, 2009), once the poetic imaginary (WUNENBURGER, 2013; 2005; 2000) compose the methodological theory of this research. The academic work has appointed that a imagination did not make of Zezé a child with innocent qualities, angelic or victimized, but allowed the boy reinvent himself poetically, embracing also his reality in general.
