RESUMO:

The violence against youth in Brazil has been addressed in several recent studies thanks to your unwanted evolution. According to the map of violence (2014), the youth of Brazil, the profile of which more die violently on country is young, black and male. Faced with this picture, some advances in public policy in the country, such as the National Policy of Social Assistance (PNAS/2004) which was consolidated as a pillar of the Brazilian Social protection system within the framework of Social Security, and the text of the National Youth Policy (PNJ/2005), in line with the demands presented after much social mobilization, did grow and materialize coping tools and combat the poverty and violence that affects the youth population, in particular, the statute of youth (2013), punctuating and aparelhando the role of the State in the area of social protection in such follow-up. In this context, this study evaluated the effectiveness of the Family Allowance Program (GMP/2004) in line with the variation of the index of deadly violence against juvenile population. Our goal was intended to explore to what extent the GMP, with the transfer of income and their conditions, mainly in the area of education, contributes to the reduction of the rates of homicide against the young in Mother Luíza, a popular district of the East zone of the city of Natal/RN, which presents variations in rates of violence and high incidence of poverty on site Therefore the large concentration of beneficiaries of Family Allowance.
