Municipal planning, land use andcoverage, and Remote Sensing.
Geotechnologieshavebeenused in PhysicalGeography, and for this it isnecessaryunderstandinghowtheapplicationofspatialization tools representthe reality. In thissense, techniques are meansofgraphicalrepresentation for environmental, urbanstudies, amongothers. Remote Sensingtogetherwith digital imageprocessing are methodological paths for spatialisation processes, includingland use andland cover as a subsidy for municipal planning in thesemi-arid region. Thus, thepresentstudyaimstoanalyzethemappingclassificationtechniques for semi-arid cover. Generally, smallmunicipalities does nothave a cartographic base that helps in municipal planning, andthisimpliestheabsenceofinformationonthe use andtheland cover in thesemiarid. Therefore, NDVI and SAVI testswerecarried out, takingintoaccountclimaticseasonality in dryandrainyseason. In thetestscarried out in thisresearchto date, it isnotedthatthe NDVI and SAVI vegetation indexes cannotmeetthedemand for mappingland use andland cover in thesemi-aridregion, duetotheheterogeneityof pixels in theclassification, occurringconfusion in spectralsignatureofthe classes obtained in field. Withthis, it proposesthe use ofhybridimages, withtheadditionof Sentinel 1 radar imagesandmultispectralimagessuch as Sentinel 2 A, for theevaluationoftexture in theimageandidentificationofthetargets for use andland cover. Afterthat, object-orientedclassificationwillbeused, bythesegmentationmethodtoobtainland use mappingandland cover in thesemi-arid region. In orderto base thisresearch, twotheoreticalchaptershavebeenconstructed, thefirstoneabout Municipal Planning andland cover use systems, thesecondabout Remote Sensing.
