ANALYSIS OF THE CONTRIBUTION OF GREEN ROOFS IN URBAN DRAINAGE THROUGH HYDROLOGICAL MODELING
Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems. Surface runoff. Mathematical Model. SWMM.
The application of green roofs offers many environmental benefits for a region where they are inserted, in which the gains in urban drainage have been the subject of recente studies. This is justified by the results of reduction and delay of the peak flow of rainwater with the use of green roofs. In this study, the Storm Water Management Model (SWMM) will be used to model the hydrologic response of a green roof system for intense rainfall in the city of Natal/RN. The methodology proposes different scenarios of urbanization, as well as variation in the utilization rate of green roofs and antecedent humidity conditions of the substrate according to the Soil Conservation Service (SCS) method.
