The present work is part of the training context of the professional architect and urban planner regarding the area of Interior Design Project. Area whose professional performance is broad, notably on the part of the newly graduated professionals in the labor market, despite the teaching of this area does not occupy the relevant space in the architecture and urbanism courses of national higher education institutions. The work aims, therefore, to understand how to develop the teaching of Interior Architecture Design in two undergraduate courses in the city of Natal (UFRN and UNIFACEX) and its impact on the performance of the professionals trained in them. Having as object of study the relationship between the teaching of interior architecture design in undergraduate courses in Architecture and Urbanism at UFRN and Unifacex and the performance of recent graduates. The work is based on a bibliographic review and an exploratory and descriptive research that will address relevant aspects and aspects with regard to interior architecture design and project teaching. An empirical research is also carried out in the selected schools, through the collection of data in the field, contacts with principals and teachers, followed by programs in project studios and the application of questionnaires to students and recent graduates of the institutions studied, in addition to informing teachers of the disciplines of interior architecture. So far, the relevance of training in this field has been found.
