RESUMO:

Ensuring people's with disabilities rights in social inclusion has gained increased worldwide attention and physical access to buildings appears among its primary forms. However, the question of "egressibility" of buildings, understood as the conditions of leaving in emergency situations do not develop with the same intensity. The Brazilian Law of Inclusion reflects the world-wide thought about the obligatoriness of accessibility observation in projects by architects and engineers designers of buildings. This research aims to make a diagnosis about the perception of people with reduced mobility regarding the safety in the abandonment of public meeting building in an emergency situation. On this path, we have the identification of the conditions offered for escape in public meeting buildings; the verification on influence of the presence of these people on time of abandonment, including using comparison with computer simulation with buildingEXODUS software (version 6.3); the apprehension of perception about the conditions offered in the evacuation of an auditorium, including the possible interferences between the occupants. In addition to these, proposals for improvements will be sought. In order to achieve the objective, a simulated event of abandonment of an auditorium-type public meeting building that provides, by legal obligation, seats reserved for persons with reduced mobility shall be used. The research, classified as qualitative and exploratory, will use its own instruments as semi-structured questionnaires, observation method and focus group type interview. The questionnaires will have their content, form, size and terms, analyzed by "experts" related to social experience such as physical, visual, obese and elderly. Participants in the research and simulated event will be selected by inclusion criteria based on physical, age and health characteristics, as well as availability. These will follow during the simulation the abandonment procedures defined in the current legislation received by means of a lecture before its beginning. With the results of the research, we intend to confirm the hypothesis that the safety of the study group during the abandonment of buildings depends on the behavior of the other people involved. Also, to give substance to the hall of researchers who seek through the apprehension of the perception of people with reduced mobility subsidize proposals for improvements in conditions offered to these for safe evacuation of public meeting buildings. Also, to foster the development of new research on the influence and prediction of people with reduced mobility in emergency situations such as fire, including in the formulation of adjustment modules for more accurate simulation software.
