RESUMO:

The proposition in Sérgio Ferro, Rodrigo Lefèvre and Flávio Império, Arquitetura Nova Group, linked to the Brazilian political, cultural and artistic scenario of the 1960s and 1970s, contributed to the renovation of modern Brazilian architecture with "poetics of economics ". The Arquitetura Nova proposal was based on the technical knowledge from professional formation - the influence of Artigas, inheriting in particular its constructive approach and the bond it established between political and professional practice - and the experience of the worker, the work carried on the construction site, in which was indicated economic solutions, low cost, the use of alternative constructive technologies and unconventional. The architectural quality result from application based on the economy. The experiments were based on the pre-molding, used in residential projects intended for the bourgeoisie, but which revealed an innovative proposition to be directed to the popular housing. The poetics of economics took a few years for acquire meaning, the foundations that determine it, when observed the writings and reflections of the group in their professional performance, on the criticism to the construction site and the strategies for a constructive approach based on the factors of economy: useful minimum, minimum constructive and didactic minimum. This work establish the origin of these economic factors, to conceptualize them; show that the poetics of economics, an architectural expression linked to Brazilian modernity can also be identified in architects contemporary to the group; and present the perspectives for a poetics of economics in contemporary architectural production.
