CONSTRUCTION AND APPLICATION OF REACTOR USING ARDUINO PLATFORM TO DISCUSS CONCEPTS RELATED TO STOCHIOMETRY.
Stoichiometry; Chemical reaction; Reactor with an Arduino platform.
In the teaching and learning process in chemistry, students have difficulties in understanding stoichiometry content. Among them, the lack of understanding regarding the representation of the levels of knowledge of the matter for the representation of the matter of a chemical and chemical reaction, as the relation of proportionality between the different processes and the reactional products the recognition among the students. The level of content abstraction occurs without the presence of a reaction system or phenomenon to illustrate how a chemical reaction occurs. In this work, a hermetic reactor equipment was developed with an Arduino platform (RHA) subdivided into hardware construction, software and device tests; and the classroom application stage (E2), segmented into moments allocated into four meetings: initial meeting, identification of previous ideas (M1); meeting, instructional class on chemical proportion (M2) and application of RHA (M3); third, instructional class on limiting and excess reagent encounter (M4) and reapplication of RHA (M5); fourth and last meeting, semi-structured interview with the researchers (M6). The proposal was applied to students of the 2nd high school at the Instituto de Educação do Ceará, in the city of Fortaleza-CE. Preliminary results refer to E1 and are related to tests done with RHA, such as contact with the need to follow sensor time, reaction time increases, due to increased accuracy of measurement data. RHA non-contracted gas, and the possibility of exchanging mass external to the system.
