Administrative contracts; Contract management. Information management. IFES.
Law no. 8,666/93 on Bids and Contracts establishes the rules for bids and contracts by the Public Administration. However, after the formalization of an administrative contract, there is not always an efficient contractual management, resulting in the non-execution of the contract and losses for the Administration. In this regard, the present study will deal with the importance of Information Management for improving the management of administrative contracts. The research aimed to analyze the management of contracts in a Federal Institution of Higher Education in order to improve their performance. To achieve the general objective of this research, the following specific objectives were outlined: To identify the legal requirements for the management and inspection of administrative contracts; describe how the management is carried out, as well as the existing paths for the execution of these contracts in the institution; elaborate an intervention proposal through a flowchart, aiming to propose improvements in the process of monitoring administrative contracts. Thus, an applied, descriptive research with a qualitative approach will be carried out, where documentary research, application of questionnaires and semi-structured interviews will be used as a technique of data collection.
