PROJECT BASED LEARNING IN SUPERVISED INTERNSHIP IN LIBRARIANSHIP: A MODEL FOR DEVELOPING SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT

In contemporary society, the knowledge acquired by individuals and organizations is seen as an essential component in the process of social development, and learning, a path for the personal, cultural and economic development of citizens. In this context, the librarian, an information professional, plays a decisive role in organizations and cultural facilities, acting as a mediator of an information collection and the user. This professional may also eventually act, as an educator, in the role of internship supervisor, specifically undergraduate students in the Library Science course. In the view of educational innovation for professional training, active learning methodologies can be pointed out as possible alternatives to achieve the objectives of the supervised internship. Thus, this research aims to propose a model for conducting activities performed in supervised internships in Librarianship, which enables the management of knowledge in the process, aligned with the monitoring of learning and the development of professional skills in the performance of internship activities, based on project-based learning. As for the methodology, it is characterized as applied research, with a qualitative and classified approach, according to the objectives, as exploratory. As data collection techniques, it will use bibliographic and documentary research, and interview to be applied to Library Science students who are in internship, and students who have interned in the library of the Tribunal Regional do Trabalho da 21ª região, in the city of Natal, in the brazilian state of Rio Grande do Norte, whose content will be interpreted based on the content analysis technique
