BIG AREA: Engenharias
AREA: Engenharia Civil
SUMMARY:

The growing demand for sustainable corporate practices has driven the development of methodologies aimed at assessing the social performance of organizations, particularly in the mining sector. Operations in this segment, especially in sensitive territories such as the Amazon, increase the complexity of socio-environmental effects and require more robust, context-specific metrics that are aligned with local particularities. In this context, this research proposes a methodology directed toward the management of indicators applicable to innovation projects, with an emphasis on the Social pillar of ESG. The central objective is to construct a systematized tool that supports the assessment, monitoring, and communication of results in a practical, standardized, and comparable manner, specifically addressing the particularities of mining activities in the Amazon region. The methodology will be applied in nature, with an exploratory quali-quantitative design grounded in a literature review of the main international frameworks (GRI, IRIS Plus, SASB, and ESRS). The investigative process will involve the selection and categorization of relevant indicators, as well as the definition of analytical parameters. The operationalization of the proposal will occur through the development of management instruments (prototype), whose final structure will be defined based on the application of criteria-analysis and ideation techniques. As expected outcomes, the study aims to deliver an integrated set of indicators and practical recommendations that strengthen the culture of impact measurement, enhance evidence-based decision-making, and promote greater transparency with stakeholders. It is anticipated that the resulting systematization will provide practical utility for socio-environmental innovation projects and demonstrate potential for replication across different organizational contexts.
