Artographic Processes: Experimentations of an Artist/Researcher/Teacher in Performance Practice.
performance; a/r/tography; education; creation.
This dissertation reports on the performance experiences conducted with the 9th grade A class at Diá Azevedo Municipal School. The practices described here were planned and carried out through the lens of the A/r/tographic methodology, which integrates the identities of artist/researcher/teacher as a site of reflection, and establishes the processual, hybrid, and collaborative nature of this research. The accounts are divided into three sequences of activities: the first stems from the theoretical and practical study of performance, aiming to awaken the body for creation through individual and collective content, while the other two sequences represent a deep dive into practice in search of a space for artistic creation within the classroom/school environment. This setting allowed for an investigation of my teaching practice as a teacher-performer, in an effort to expand and rethink my pedagogical approaches.
