Music Teaching. Art, Recorder. Active methodologies.
This work has as its theme the musicalization and collective use of instruments in the 8th and 9th years classes at Escola Estadual Capitão Jose da Penha – Joao Câmara/RN and presents didactic material developed in the classroom through the approach of a pedagogical proposal on the aforementioned subject, highlighting the importance of music for meaningful learning in Art/Music Teaching, based on this, we chose as a general objective to analyze how the development of musicality, creativity and collectivity occurs in students' performance with the musical instruments available at school; understand the nature of this teaching and the factors that influence it in the process of learning music in Art classes. Other more specific objectives were also considered, such as: monitoring the learning process of the 8th grade class, observing how musicality is developed in performance with different instruments, in particular, the recorder, manifested by sound indicators, phrasing , fluency in instrumental performance in improvisation activities, and repertoire through sheet music or musical interaction; identify the factors that influence the development of musicality, collectivity and creativity in the context of the research field; understand aspects of the essence of musical involvement and its scope, considering its application in the context of Basic School, discussing its pedagogical-musical possibilities; diagnose, propose and apply music teaching proposals that consider musical creation, appreciation and performance as essential elements to expand students' musical experience; as well as discussing music making as a means of artistic, cultural, cognitive and social development of students. To explore the theme, we take as a basis a problem that asks, above all, how to awaken students' interest in musicalization in the classroom with the collective use of instruments, considering the applicability of active methodologies with 8th and 9th years students. research is the Escola Estadual Capitão José da Penha, located in the city of Joao Câmara RN, with the active subjects being students in the 8th and 9th years of Elementary School, enrolled in the Music discipline. The research methodology is characterized as a classroom experience, combining the bibliographical part with the investigation method of participatory research with a qualitative approach, from the perspective of Goldenderg (1997), Fonseca (2002), Marconi & Lakatos (2010), Gil (1999) Tripp (2005) Tiollent (2011), among others. For theoretical contributions, we turned to authors such as: Oliveira & Pontes (2011) Sobral & Campos (2012) Berbel (2011); Luckesi (2002); Moran (2015), in an approach to active methodologies, and also Swanwick (2003); Gordon (2002); Gembris (1997), Stefani (2007), in an approach to musicalization in the classroom from the perspective of each author. We emphasize, therefore, that the results of this article and pedagogical proposal may contribute to the development of a reflection on the art of teaching Music in Elementary School, especially in the 8th and 9th years, considering active and pedagogical methodologies in function of the construction of knowledge that could be carried out in the classroom in public schools, as well as private ones.
