Red Carpet.net: From Popular Theater to the Smartphone.
Drama teaching; Art-education; Theatrical games; Theatrical improvisation.
This project investigates the use of smartphone applications in the artistic production of audiovisual developed with students of 8th and 9th grades of Elementary School in the following educational institutions: State School Pedro Alexandrino, Municipal School Izabel Moura and Municipal School Luiz Varela, all located in the municipality of Sao Pedro, Rio Grande do Norte state in Brazil. For the development of this activity, theatrical games classes were taught, inspired by the work of Viola Spolin (2008) and Olga Reverbel (1979). Through theatrical games of improvisation, we sought to develop dramatic expression and the elaboration of scripts for the creation of audiovisual scenes. The general objective of this project is to promote the dialogue between theatrical improvisation games as a guiding source in the creative process of audiovisual sketches. In line with the approach of Michel Thiollent (1986), the methodology adopted will be action research, which seeks understanding and interaction between researchers and members of the community involved, thus developing a dialogue articulated to a planned action of a social and educational nature through the classes of theatrical games.
