A3 REPORT ADOPTION AS SUPPORT FOR CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT IN THE PROCESS OF AMENDMENTS TO ACADEMIC LEGAL INSTRUMENTS.
Academic Projects, Continuous Improvement, A3 Form.
The Management Reform in Brazilian State, started in 1995, introduced a requirement for efficiency and effectiveness to public administration, which began to adopt a management model based on results. In this sense, many organizations have adopted lean principles to maximize their results. However, it is challenging to sustain enhancements systematically, especially, given the difficulty of promoting changes in habits and developing an organizational culture focused on it. This work will employ the A3 Report on problem-solving to the Academic Legal Instrument Amendment Process (PAIJA), which occurs in the formalization of academic projects developed at UFRN. This is a qualitative, descriptive, and applied research using the case study as a methodological procedure and actors in the process are the subjects. Data collection will be carried out through semi-structured interviews, focus groups, and documentary research. Data analysis will use the content analysis technique. And, in the end, it is expected that the adoption of the tool enables the systematization of problem solving in PAIJA, awakening those involved to the culture of continuous improvement.
