Electronic Health Records; Primary Health Care; Information Systems.
The use of information technology in healthcare is growing and there are numerous possibilities and benefits related to its use. The record of the information generated is registered in a document called the medical record. Thus, the medical record is understood as a tool for health records, which facilitates patient care and is a communication link between the various team members. The Electronic Health Record (EHR) is an electronic structure that stores clinical data and patient histories, increasing the quality and safety of the records kept by professionals. This research aims to evaluate the perception of Primary Health Care professionals about the process of implementation and use of the PEC. This is a survey study, exploratory and longitudinal, with a quantitative approach, having as participants of the study the professionals who work in Primary Health Care (PHC) in the city of Parnamirim (RN). Data collection will be through an adapted questionnaire with standardized assertive questions on a Likert type agreement scale. The data will be analyzed in SPSS software, applying descriptive statistics, and will be expressed in absolute numbers and percentages, presented through graphs and tables. It is expected that this research contributes to the reflection of professionals and managers of the municipality in order to improve and strengthen health management, guiding the practice of these professionals, pointing out possible needs for administrative changes in the relations of work processes and physical and technological infrastructure in primary health care units.
