KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICE OF COMMUNITY HEALTH AGENTS ON HEALTH INDICATORS

The health indicators are important instruments for the avaliation and planning of the actions and health services, establishing conditioning parameters to the continuous performance control. The problematic of this study focuses on the need of a closer proximity of the Community Health Agents (ACS) with the health indicators presented in the Sispacto. The objectives of the study are: To identify the conceptions of ACS on health indicators; to verify the influence of the indicators in the planning and practice of the ACS; to increase the knowledge of ACS on the importance of indicators to promote integrality in the Health System. The methodological path chosen was the Convergent Care Research (PCA). The study scenario includes the dependencies of the Tancredo Neves Family Health Unit, located in the Tancredo Neves neighborhood of Catolé do Rocha, Paraíba. The ACS that act in the Family Health Strategy Tancredo Neves 01 and Tancredo Neves 10 will act as participants in the research, both of which operate in common physical space. As data collection techniques will be used semi-structured interview, systematic observation and workshops. At the end, it is expected to discuss the need to rethink the work process and the importance of health indicators as an important work tool for evaluation and planning of these professionals, in order to allow changes in actions and implications in the health-disease process of the population. It should be emphasized that the ACS is an instrument for the improvement and consolidation of the ESF, since the great majority of the actions of this program are given through these professionals.
