Chronic Kidney Disease is considered a relevant problem for public health. This research aims to analyze an educational intervention based on the construction and validation of the Nursing Consultation Guide for people with Hypertension and Diabetes, for the prevention of Chronic Kidney Disease in Primary Health Care. This is a methodological and evaluative study that will be conducted in two phases with nurses working in primary care in a municipality in northeastern Brazil. The first stage will involve a methodological study, developing and validating an instrument to guide nursing consultations. The second stage will consist of a quasi-experimental (before-after), comparative, descriptive, and educational intervention study with a quantitative approach to assess nurses' knowledge of CKD prevention in PHC. A short course will be conducted based on David Ausubel's theory of meaningful learning, with pre- and post-testing using a two-section questionnaire. The first section included participant characterization data, and the second included objective questions about nurses' knowledge of chronic kidney disease prevention in individuals with hypertension and/or diabetes. Subsequently, the data from the closed-ended questions will be tabulated in SigmaPlot 15.0 software for descriptive statistics and Spearman's correlation. The research will be conducted in accordance with the ethical principles set forth in Resolution No. 466/2012 of the National Health Council.
