Loci in University Entrance Exams and Competitions

This dissertation aims to contribute to the teaching and learning of Analytical Geometry in High School, highlighting the relevance of the concept of Locus and its application in solving geometric and algebraic problems. The study includes a historical analysis of the University Entrance Exam and emphasizes the importance of well-structured teaching materials focused on problem-solving strategies for preparing students for university entrance exams, competitions, and mathematical olympiads. Contextualized examples and exercises are presented, with emphasis on the study of conic sections and other loci. The resulting educational product is a didactic booklet, designed as a practical guide for teachers and students, aiming to strengthen the understanding and application of these concepts in different assessment contexts.
