Socio Demographic and professional Profile of Brazilian primary school teachers : the teaching qualification and its dimensions.

This paper aims to carry out the construction of socio-economic profiles, demographic and qualification of primary school teachers of Brazil. The teacher qualification is a matter of broad questioning, and the characteristics that determine whether a teacher is good or bad qualified are always being discussed. Through observation of the literature, the determining factors for good teaching qualification will be grouped in different dimensions characteristics that include personal to professionals issues. This is a quantitative survey in which 2013 year Saeb data were used and applied the Grade of Membership method for determining the classification profiles for teachers of basic education. The Grade of Membership method consists in estimating an individual possesses probability to answer l to a variable j on k profile generating a degree of relevance of each individual to an extreme profile. The study in question will reveal the existence of three profiles with extreme characteristics among the evaluated teachers.
