podcasts, feminism, media, internet, gender
This qualification report proposes to analyze, from a feminist and classist perspective (Toledo, 2017), the podcast as a new media process on the Internet, using the concepts of expanded radio (KISCHINHEVSKY, 2012; 2016; 2017), seeking to understand how this tool has contributed to women appropriating this media, in an attempt to build other positions in society. In this sense, we will analyze the podcast Feminism and Marxism produced by women with a gender perspective in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, in 2021. In order to observe the possibilities of resistance of these subjects in the search for emancipation and eradication of gender inequalities. In this way, this research project proposes to reflect on the protagonism of women in the podcast and how this media represents, strengthens and expands awareness about feminist agendas. In this sense, the research opts for a qualitative methodological approach using the case study (Yin, 2001), having as research elements the data collection and production analysis of the podcast mentioned above. Thus, it is intended that this investigation will be added to gender and podcast studies in an attempt to broaden the various academic readings in relation to the theme.
