BATMAN: THE PROBLEMATIZATION OF MEDIATION IN THE NARRATIVE STUDIES

In the media studies, symbolic changes between production and reception allow comprehend how is the flux of cultural industry. In this sense, Batman, a character who is born in the comics from 1930, has changed in a temporal flux in the connection to the media universe, immerse in an imaging and symbolic resource of mass media by his singular history. The Batman character is problematized by his media condition by the adaptation of his history to the TV and cinema identifying narrative discuss in cultural and historical diverse contexts, with a relativization of relationship among author-piece-reader, by the following theoretical assumptions: culture by John B. Thompson and Pierre Bourdieu, media by Jesús Martín-Barbero, narrative by Umberto Eco and hero journey concept by Joseph Campbell.
